The original home had a regular door from the den into this bar, but now it’s a secret. The panel on the right side of the photo opens like a door, but when closed it’s camouflaged as part of the den’s wall. Hallberg tied this wallpaper back to the den by using the same Schumacher print on the sofa’s throw pillows.

In the wet bar area, custom open shelving instead of clunky upper cabinets leaves things more open and makes the space appear larger. In addition to providing a spot for mixology, this area comes in handy during al fresco dinner parties. “If we have friends over during nice weather, we’ll eat out in the backyard and we’ll set up a buffet inside the cabana, which is very convenient,” says the homeowner.
